Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to my husband being unwell but we have been kindly offered to stay free of charge at a later date. Owners very accommodating and helpful at end of phone, b&b central to seafront, restaurants, shops and old Portsmouth, Excellent spacious room and bathroom. We will definitely be going back on regular basis as we have friends nearby
Fantastic hotel, most unique place in Portsmouth. We loved the privacy of the spa and how relaxed and peaceful it all was. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful, thank you for having us and giving us such welcoming service.
Steve and Mubi are expectional hosts they are kind and go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel warm and welcomed and have a great stay. I would recommend them to anyone for a wonderful get away. They emphasise their support throughout if you ever need anything, they gave us a guided tour of the areas to begin which is super helpful and welcoming and if you have any questions or problems they are happy to assist you Our highlight was playing ping pong in the communal area and relaxing in the tranquil peace of the beautiful spa. Our room was delightful, very clean and comfortable and we felt at ease. The location is great also it’s peaceful but very close to bars and shops if you want to grab drinks or food it’s a 5 minute walk or so. Thank you Steve and Mubi and we hope to visit again soonXX
Steve and Mubi were fantastic hosts. They recommended a delicious restaurant nearby while we waited for our early check in, helped us with parking details, and surprised us by decorating our room for our honeymoon. The location is close to great restaurants and the waterfront. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet and very clean. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!
Beautiful hotel with an entire communal kitchen to cook in! Great entertainment lounges open to use by all. Owners were incredibly friendly. I felt so safe as a pregnant woman travelling alone to a town she didn't know. The landlords are just next door and are there if you need anything. You get a lot for what you pay for. This is my best hotel stay ever and I've travelled a tonne. Incredibly quiet and secluded part of town, car park right at the back door free between 3-6pm for checking in. Then lots of on street parking that's free from 6pm so just moved my car. If you've got a chademo EV charger, do not wait to charge around here they are naff! Charge as much as you can before coming onto the island. It took me three hours the next morning to find a fast charger that actually worked or was available.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars all round! My boyfriend and I stayed at Ashby’s Accommodation for New Year’s Eve, and what a random find it turned out to be — we are beyond happy that we did. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing. The room was gorgeous, spotless, and so comfortable — you could really tell how much care and attention goes into the place. Everything felt welcoming and relaxing the moment we arrived. The owner deserves a special mention. He was honestly amazing — so friendly and welcoming, and he even sat and had a chat with us, which made the stay feel really personal and special. He lives next door, so if we needed anything at all, he truly couldn’t do enough for us. The spa was exactly what we needed and such amazing value for money — the perfect way to relax and unwind. I genuinely can’t put into words how thankful we are for the stay and the whole experience. I never usually leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. We will 100% be back again and would highly recommend Ashby’s Accommodation to anyone looking for a special, relaxing stay.

Amazing individual rooms of a very high standard and comfort. All the amenities you would expect with an abundance of channels on the TV! Team are great and never fail to be helpful. Location is great as right next to all the bars and restaurants in Southsea.
